Printing our school-books

As Katie is finishing her World Geography course, it's time for me to prepare her history books for her high school World History Curriculum. One of the sources we will use is called The Great Events by Famous Historians, originally published in 1905 and available in part on gutenberg.org. I found a the complete set, in color and black-and-white, on archive.org.

Book printing and binding always turns into a several-day affair, depending on how much time I have to dedicate each day. Anyway, here is photo of the finished product, after I've printed (text in b&w, pictures in color), designed a cover, cut,  laminated, punched, and bound.  Two down, twenty to go!

I can't wait to get more into these myself, although I tend to read everything much more carefully and with a watchful eye for opinions over facts. I've learned so much since we started homeschooling; I have found that much of my own education was colored with the socialist agenda, and much of the history I learned had been "revised" quite a bit from what I have since learned from primary sources.

There is joy on this journey, on my way home to my Father's house,
